Privacy Policy

How Virtual Solutions (VS.AM) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the VS Armenian Voice Keyboard iOS app and keyboard extension.

Introduction

Virtual Solutions ("VS.AM," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies only to the VS Armenian Voice Keyboard iOS application and its keyboard extension (together, the "App").

The App lets you dictate Armenian speech and insert recognized text into other apps on your iPhone. This policy does not replace our general VS.AM Privacy Policy, but focuses on data practices specific to this App.

Who We Are

VS.AM is operated by Virtual Solutions, located at Mush 10/11, Yerevan, Armenia. Our primary contact for privacy matters is: info@vs.am.

Information We Collect

3.1 Audio recordings. When you tap the microphone and record speech, audio is captured only in the main App (not inside the keyboard extension). Audio is sent to our speech-to-text service to produce Armenian text.

3.2 Speech-to-text processing. Recordings are transmitted over HTTPS to https://app.vs.am/api/vsKeyboard/stt. We process audio solely to return transcription text.

3.3 Anonymous install identifier. The App generates a random UUID stored in your device Keychain. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. We use it to measure usage (number of users and audio processed).

3.4 Usage metadata. With each request we may send: request ID, audio duration, app version, source (keyboard or main app), and Apple Vendor ID (IDFV) if available.

3.5 Local data on your device. Recognized text is briefly shared between the App and keyboard extension via Apple's App Group so text can be inserted where you were typing.

3.6 Microphone permission. iOS asks for microphone access before recording. You can revoke it anytime in Settings → Privacy → Microphone.

3.7 Full Access (keyboard). To open the App from the keyboard voice button, iOS requires "Allow Full Access." We use this only to open the App and exchange text — not to log everything you type.

3.8 No account required. Current versions of the App do not require registration or login.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: convert your speech to Armenian text; deliver transcription back to the App and keyboard; monitor service usage, reliability, and abuse prevention; improve the App and plan future features; and comply with legal obligations.

Data Retention

Audio is processed to produce text and is not stored permanently on our servers after processing completes, except where briefly needed for technical delivery or error recovery.

Anonymous usage logs (install ID, duration, request counts) may be retained for analytics. You may request deletion by contacting info@vs.am.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share audio or transcriptions with advertisers.

Service Providers. We may use infrastructure providers (hosting, networking) who process data only on our behalf under contractual obligations.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by Armenian law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VS.AM, our users, or the public.

Data Security

Audio and metadata are sent over TLS (HTTPS). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. While we implement strong safeguards, no system is 100% impenetrable.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us at info@vs.am and we will delete related data.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, or deletion of data we hold about you. Email info@vs.am — we respond within 30 days.

AI Model Training

We will never use your audio recordings, voice data, or transcriptions to train, fine-tune, or improve our AI models without your explicit, separate, and written consent.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
